The collaboration between PT Pos Indonesia and Jalin enables Pospay users to make seamless cross-border QR payments while travelling in Singapore
PT Pos Indonesia (Posind), through its Pospay application, and PT Jalin Pembayaran Nusantara (Jalin) officially launched a cross-border QR payment service, expanding the payment capabilities of Pospay users in Singapore. The initiative was announced at the Singapore Fintech Festival (SFF) 2024, held this past Saturday.
Jalin’s Commercial Director, Mr. Eko Dedi Rukminto, highlighted that the partnership allows for greater international transaction options for Pospay customers. “The Jalin Link network will support Pospay users travelling to Singapore, ensuring they can make transactions conveniently, as if they were at home,” Mr. Rukminto stated in Jakarta.
The service, underpinned by Jalin’s secure digital payment processing network, will allow Indonesian tourists in Singapore to use Pospay for a variety of transactions. This move aligns with the vision of the Indonesian Payment System Blueprint (BSPI) 2030, which aims to accelerate the country’s digital financial ecosystem.
Mr. Haris, Director of Network Business and Financial Services at Pos Indonesia, added that this feature enhances Pospay’s appeal as an inclusive financial platform, making cross-border payments more accessible for Indonesian travellers not only in Singapore but also in other regional markets like Malaysia and Thailand. This collaboration, Mr. Haris explained, is expected to strengthen Indonesia’s national digital payment ecosystem and broaden cross-border transaction options for Pospay’s active user base of over 400,000.
The partnership is also anticipated to support the development of a modern, internationally standardised digital payment infrastructure, as envisioned in the BSPI 2030, thereby reinforcing Indonesia’s payment connectivity with other countries.
