During the session, the Transportation Attaché of KBRI Singapore delivered an insightful presentation on Singapore’s maritime transport management and operational systems. The session highlighted key best practices adopted in Singapore’s maritime industry — including efficiency in port operations, digitalisation, and sustainability initiatives — which could serve as valuable references for the continued development of Indonesia’s own maritime sector.

Participants also engaged in interactive discussions on maritime connectivity, logistics innovation, and the importance of international collaboration in maintaining safe and efficient sea transport. The exchange encouraged participants to think critically about how lessons learned from Singapore’s experience could be adapted to strengthen Indonesia’s maritime infrastructure and policies.

This study excursion provided a meaningful platform for young Indonesians to explore the vital role of maritime transport in supporting national connectivity, economic growth, and sustainable development. It also underscored Indonesia’s commitment to fostering regional partnerships and knowledge-sharing within the maritime domain.

Through initiatives such as SEATRANS 2025, KBRI Singapore continues to play an active role in promoting maritime diplomacy, empowering youth, and building bridges of cooperation between Indonesia and Singapore for a stronger, more connected maritime future.
