Indonesian Embassy in Singapore engages UGM students to explore practical diplomacy and bilateral relations
The Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in Singapore (KBRI Singapore) hosted a delegation from the UGM MUN Community on 13 March 2026. The visit aimed to provide insights into diplomatic practices and the role of Indonesian missions abroad in strengthening bilateral relations.
The delegation, comprising four students from Universitas Gadjah Mada, engaged in discussions with embassy officials on international relations and the practical aspects of diplomacy. The session highlighted how diplomatic missions contribute to advancing national interests and fostering cooperation between countries.
The visit formed part of KBRI Singapore’s outreach efforts to support Indonesian youth interested in international relations and diplomacy. Emphasis was placed on bridging academic knowledge with real-world diplomatic experience.
During the engagement, the Embassy expressed appreciation for the students’ initiative and commitment to deepening their understanding of diplomacy. The visit is expected to enhance their academic perspectives while preparing them for future roles in diplomacy and international affairs.
