MININSTER AIRLANGGA HARTANTO LEADS THE ESTABLISHMENT OF TASK FORCES FOCUSED ON ZERO EMISSIONS AND SEMICONDUCTOR ECOSYSTEM READINESS.

Minister Airlangga Hartarto, the Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs, announced the formation of two task forces aimed at driving sustainable development and technological advancements. The Asia Zero Emission Community Task Force and the Semiconductor Ecosystem Preparation Task Force were officially established on April 2nd, 2024, marking a significant step towards Indonesia’s commitment to environmental sustainability and global technological leadership.

The Asia Zero Emission Community Task Force, led by Minister Airlangga Hartarto, is dedicated to spearheading initiatives that promote zero emissions across industries. The task force brings together experts and stakeholders to develop strategies for reducing carbon footprints and implementing green technologies. This initiative aligns with global efforts to combat climate change and supports Indonesia’s vision of becoming a key player in sustainable development.

Simultaneously, the Semiconductor Ecosystem Preparation Task Force, also under Minister Airlangga’s leadership, focuses on enhancing Indonesia’s semiconductor industry. With a growing demand for semiconductor chips worldwide, the task force aims to strengthen the country’s position in the global supply chain. By fostering innovation, improving infrastructure, and fostering partnerships, Indonesia seeks to become a significant contributor to the semiconductor market.

Minister Airlangga Hartarto emphasized Indonesia’s ambition to contribute to a world capable of achieving zero emissions while actively participating in the global semiconductor supply chain. These task forces reflect the government’s strategic initiatives to drive economic growth, technological innovation, and environmental sustainability simultaneously.
