Indonesian Ambassador to Singapore, Mr Suryo Pratomo, representing the Indonesian Government, awarded the Bintang Kartika Eka Pakci Utama Honorary medal to MG (NS) Goh Si Hou, former Chief of the Singapore Army, on 14th May 2024
IN a ceremony attended by officials from the Indonesian Embassy in Singapore and representatives from the SAF Army, the prestigious honour was awarded to MG (NS) Goh Si Hou in recognition of his contributions and dedication while leading the Singapore Army from 2018 to 2022, particularly in enhancing cooperation between the two armies.
Expressing gratitude for the recognition from the Indonesian Government, MG Goh Si Hou emphasised that the award was received not in his personal capacity but on behalf of the entire Singapore Army.
He advised his successors to continue fostering and enhancing beneficial and trustworthy relationships between the two armies, as the close ties between the armed forces reflect the strong bilateral relations between Indonesia and Singapore.
