The inaugural Garuda Indonesia Travel Fair in Singapore attracts eager visitors seeking affordable tickets and exciting travel deals
xTHE first-ever Garuda Indonesia Travel Fair (GATF) in Singapore took place at the Nusantara Hall, located within the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in Singapore on 20th November 2023. The event witnessed a lively atmosphere as both the local Singaporean community and Indonesian citizens showed high enthusiasm in their quest for budget-friendly tickets offered by Garuda Indonesia.
Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia to Singapore, Suryo Pratomo, delivered the opening remarks, expressing his delight at bringing GATF, a long-favored event in Indonesia, to Singapore. Ambassador Pratomo expressed hope that the fair in Singapore would not only attract more Singaporean tourists to Indonesia with Garuda Indonesia but also contribute to the improved sales performance of Garuda Indonesia Singapore.
Dian Ediono, Vice President International Region at Garuda Indonesia, highlighted that this year’s International GATF was simultaneously held in Hong Kong, Singapore, and Seoul. He expressed gratitude for the support extended by the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in Singapore, along with the backing of Bank Mandiri and the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy of the Republic of Indonesia, for successfully organizing the inaugural GATF in Singapore.
Prominent travel agents in Singapore, including Hamidah Travel, Namhot Travel, Usrah Travel, and EU Holidays, were present to cater to information requests and facilitate ticket sales for various domestic and international routes. In addition to ticket sales, GATF Singapore showcased the beauty and diverse tourist activities in Labuan Bajo, promoted by Shana Fatina, the Director of the Labuan Bajo Flores Tourism Authority Executive Agency.
The event, hosted by the well-known Singaporean DJ Kun Hua, was further enhanced with the opportunity for visitors to participate in a lucky draw. Prizes included a SGD 1 ticket, a SGD 100 voucher, and a free ticket to Bali with Garuda Indonesia. The week-long GATF in Singapore, running from 20th to 26th November 2023, offers substantial ticket discounts of up to 80 percent. Additionally, visitors can avail an extra 10 percent discount using Mandiri Credit and Debit Cards or through Livin’ Sukha when booking tickets to various exotic destinations in Indonesia.
