The Indonesian Air Force (TNI AU) and the Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF) held their 20th Annual Staff Meeting in Manado, North Sulawesi, on 4 September 2026. The meeting provided a forum for the two air forces to discuss bilateral activities, strategic issues and initiatives, as well as cooperation in military education and joint combat exercises.

The TNI AU was represented by Deputy Chief of Staff Air Marshal Tedi Rizalihadi, while the RSAF was represented by Chief of Staff-Air Staff Brigadier General Ho Kum Luen. The annual meeting was part of the established engagement between the Indonesian and Singaporean air forces and focused on communication, coordination and implementation of bilateral activities.

During the meeting, Air Marshal Tedi Rizalihadi highlighted the range of cooperation undertaken by the two air forces, including personnel exchanges for military education and joint combat exercises. He said these activities contributed to trust, mutual understanding and the professional development of both forces.

“These various forms of cooperation are an essential part of strengthening trust, mutual understanding, and the professionalism of both air forces,” Air Marshal Tedi Rizalihadi said.

Air Marshal Tedi Rizalihadi also expressed hope that the existing cooperation could be sustained to further develop the military capabilities of Indonesia and Singapore.

Brigadier General Ho Kum Luen, meanwhile, expressed appreciation for Indonesia’s hosting of the meeting and the hospitality extended to the Singaporean delegation during its stay in the country. He said the annual forum provided an opportunity for the two sides to maintain communication, address strategic issues and implement bilateral initiatives.

“The Annual Staff Meeting has become one of the important pillars for discussing, making decisions on, and implementing all bilateral activities between the RSAF and the TNI AU,” Brigadier General Ho Kum Luen said.

Brigadier General Ho Kum Luen also expressed hope that the Annual Staff Meeting would continue to be held every year, supporting continued defence engagement between the Indonesian and Singaporean air forces.
