From bustling streets to MRT platforms, Indonesia’s latest campaign brings its stunning landscapes and creative flair to Singapore in celebration of shared milestones
Singapore, 15 August 2025 – In a vibrant tribute to the enduring friendship between Indonesia and Singapore, the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in Singapore has rolled out a dynamic out-of-home (OOH) campaign titled “Travel the Lands, Discover the Brands: Indonesia Awaits”. The initiative celebrates three major milestones: 58 years of diplomatic ties between the two nations, Indonesia’s 80th Independence Day, and Singapore’s 60th year of nationhood.
Running from August to October 2025, the campaign transforms Singapore’s public spaces into windows to Indonesia’s cultural, natural, and creative riches. With colourful visuals splashed across buses, taxis, MRT stations, and digital platforms, the campaign invites Singaporeans and visitors alike to explore the archipelago’s diverse wonders, from its breathtaking landscapes to its flourishing creative industry.

The spotlight falls on three iconic Indonesian destinations: the culinary haven of West Sumatra (Padang), the timeless island charm of Bali, and the untouched beauty of Labuan Bajo, gateway to the Komodo National Park. Each destination is showcased through immersive imagery designed to evoke wanderlust and promote travel to Indonesia.
Complementing the scenic backdrops are familiar and endearing faces from Indonesia’s home-grown creative scene. Beloved characters such as Si Juki, Milk and Mocha, and the cast of the animated film Jumbo—Don, Mae, Nurman, and Meri, add a whimsical and relatable dimension to the campaign, representing Indonesia’s vibrant intellectual property (IP) sector and its rising global influence.

Backed by the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy of Indonesia, Garuda Indonesia, and Changi Airport Group, the campaign is more than a tourism push, it’s a celebration of deep-rooted people-to-people connections. It reflects a growing partnership that goes beyond borders, underpinned by shared aspirations for cultural appreciation, sustainable development, and regional harmony.
By bringing a slice of Indonesia to Singapore’s urban landscape, the campaign not only promotes travel and cultural curiosity but also reinforces the evolving ties between two neighbouring nations that continue to inspire and learn from one another.
