
Indonesia reaffirmed its commitment to innovation and defence industry self-reliance at the region’s largest aerospace and defence exhibition. The Singapore Airshow 2026 provided a strategic platform to advance partnerships and highlight national capabilities
The Singapore Airshow 2026 once again stood as the largest aerospace and defence event in the Asia-Pacific, convening global industry leaders, government representatives and technology innovators. Held in Singapore, the biennial exhibition served as a strategic arena for dialogue, collaboration and the unveiling of cutting-edge advancements shaping the future of aviation and defence.
Indonesia participated actively in the airshow, represented by government officials and key players from the national defence and aerospace sectors. The delegation sought to promote Indonesia’s growing industrial capabilities, explore avenues for strategic cooperation, and remain abreast of the latest technological developments in aerospace systems, defence platforms and advanced manufacturing.

Indonesia’s presence underscored its broader commitment to strengthening defence industry self-reliance while fostering international partnerships. Through engagements with global stakeholders, Indonesia reaffirmed its determination to enhance innovation, improve competitiveness and contribute to regional security architecture through constructive diplomacy.
On the sidelines of the event, the Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia to Singapore, Dr Hotmangaradja Pandjaitan, warmly received a visit from the Jupiter Aerobatic Team of the Indonesian Air Force at the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in Singapore. The visit highlighted national pride in Indonesia’s aviation excellence and reflected the close ties between defence diplomacy and people-to-people engagement within the Indonesia–Singapore partnership.

Overall, Indonesia’s participation at the Singapore Airshow 2026 demonstrated its proactive approach in navigating the evolving aerospace and defence landscape, while reinforcing its role as a credible and forward-looking partner in the Asia-Pacific region.
