The Indonesian Embassy in Singapore organised a Fun Walk in honor of the 79th anniversary of the Indonesian National Army (TNI), attended by Ambassador Suryo Pratomo and embassy staff.

On 5 October 2024, the Indonesian Embassy in Singapore celebrated the 79th anniversary of the Indonesian National Army (TNI) with a community Fun Walk. The event was led by Indonesian Ambassador Suryo Pratomo and his wife, Ibu Noeri Widowati, and included the participation of all embassy officials, staff, and their families. Ambassador Pratomo flagged off the event, with participants embarking on a 5-kilometer route. Prior to the walk, a briefing was held to inform participants about the route and key locations for water and medical support.

The Fun Walk symbolised a moment of unity and national pride among the Indonesian community in Singapore. After completing the walk, the celebrations continued with a cake-cutting ceremony led by Ambassador Pratomo, marking the embassy’s official congratulatory gesture for the TNI’s 79th anniversary. Attendees then gathered to watch a live broadcast of the TNI anniversary celebrations from Jakarta, which took place at the iconic Monas Crossroads.

The embassy’s event fostered a spirit of camaraderie among the Indonesian community in Singapore while recognising the achievements and legacy of the TNI. The day highlighted the important role the Indonesian National Army plays in safeguarding the nation’s sovereignty and supporting peace both domestically and regionally.
