International webinar examines Halal certification, regulations, packaging and market access for ASEAN businesses.
The International Halal Webinar 2026 will be held virtually on Saturday, 19 September 2026, from 1:00pm to 3:00pm Singapore Time (SGT), focusing on ASEAN Halal trade, regulatory requirements and international market access. Titled “Navigating The Future Halal Trade: Connecting Batam-Bintan ASEAN Business Forum to Saudi-GCC-Europe Markets,” the webinar will examine considerations for businesses seeking to enter overseas Halal markets.
The event will be jointly organised by Sun Media Pte Ltd and Everdeen Global Pte Ltd of Singapore, PT Nakia Global Sejahtera of Indonesia, and Halal Hub Vietnam Joint Stock Company of Vietnam, with NPE Print Communications Pte Ltd as the main partner. The programme will address practical issues affecting international Halal trade, including certification, regulatory compliance, logistics, packaging and end-to-end traceability.
The discussions will begin with perspectives on the strategic role of the ASEAN Halal economy and cross-border trade before moving to international market requirements. A dedicated session will examine packaging and traceability, followed by an interactive question-and-answer session addressing trade barriers, certification and buyer expectations.
The international panel will feature Prof. Dr. Aldin Dugonjić, who will discuss GCC regulatory alignment, Saudi Food and Drug Authority standards, import requirements, labelling and quality assurance. Dr. Tomás Guerrero will address trade logistics, free zones, customs procedures and digital Halal certificates.
The programme will also feature Mr. Kamel Jalloul Ratbi and Dr. Said Ratbi Bali, with perspectives on European Halal markets and standards. Mr. Saleh Mokrane will contribute expertise in food and dairy packaging for EU, MENA and GCC markets, while Ms. Nurul Malik will examine packaging and traceability in relation to compliance, anti-counterfeiting and supply-chain transparency.
The webinar is intended for exporters, manufacturers, business owners, supply-chain professionals, media practitioners and policymakers seeking information on international Halal trade and market access. The programme will provide participants with an opportunity to examine the regulatory, certification and supply-chain requirements that shape access to international Halal markets.
