The Ministry of Communication and Informatics, led by Minister Budi Arie Setiadi, has initiated collaboration with a global technology major to enhance digital transformation efforts across various sectors, aiming to realise Indonesia’s 2045 Golden Indonesia vision.

Minister Setiadi emphasised the significance of this collaboration, highlighting its role in accelerating the country’s digital sector growth and achieving national development goals.

The partnership with global technology companies aligns with Indonesia’s ambition to become a leading player in global digital technology development, not only as a market but also as a strategic partner.

This collaborative approach is expected to boost national economic growth, with projections indicating a significant increase by 2045, as stated by the National Development Planning Agency (Bappenas).

Microsoft has been identified as the technology company to collaborate with the Ministry of Communication and Informatics, with plans for joint initiatives including digital talent development, infrastructure enhancement, and government digitalisation.

The memorandum of understanding (MoU) signed between the ministry’s secretary general, Mira Tayyiba, and president director of Microsoft Indonesia, Dharma Simorangkir, marks the official commencement of this collaboration, paving the way for impactful initiatives in Indonesia’s digital transformation journey.
