Voice of Baceprot, an all-female metal band hailing from Garut, West Java, made their debut appearance at the renowned annual music event, Glastonbury Festival, held in Pilton, Somerset, United Kingdom.

They became the first Indonesian Musician to perform at this esteemed festival.

The band, consisting of three young women – Marsya on vocals and guitar, Widi on bass, and Siti on drums, entertained the audience at the Woodsies Main Stage on Friday morning, 28th June at 11:30 local time, opening the festival.

Voice of Baceprot received a warm reception from the Glastonbury crowd during their debut performance. They showcased several of their own tracks including “God, Allow Me (Please) to Play Music”. The day held special significance as it coincided with the vocalist Marsya’s birthday.

Prior to their Glastonbury debut, Voice Of Baceprot also performed at the Downstairs at the Dome event in London.

VOB gained global attention around mid-2017 for their unique blend of music. The trio, still attending vocational school at the time, often performed their original song “The Enemy of Earth Is You”.

They chose the name “Baceprot”, which translates to “noisy” in Sundanese, to represent the type of music they play, which is a fusion of metal and traditional Indonesian influences.
