The JF3 Fashion Festival 2024 aimed to bolster the Indonesian fashion industry’s presence on the international stage
The JF3 Fashion Festival 2024 returned to support the Indonesian fashion industry in its pursuit of greater global recognition. The event, which has been held for 20 years, was announced during a press conference by JF3 Chairman, Mr. Soegianto Nagaria, at Summarecon Mall Kelapa Gading, Jakarta, on Thursday, July 18th, 2024. According to Nagaria, the festival aimed to provide a more significant and sustainable contribution to the fashion world, showcasing the industry’s growth and potential.
JF3’s role in advancing Indonesia’s fashion industry was highlighted through various programs designed to support local designers in creating works both domestically and internationally. The event underscored the festival’s ongoing efforts to nurture local talent and facilitate their entry into the global fashion scene.
JF3 Advisor, Ms. Theresia Mareta, emphasised the need for Indonesian fashion industry players to learn professional marketing strategies. To this end, JF3 invited international participants to the festival, providing an opportunity for local designers to gain insights into the foreign fashion industry. Ms. Mareta pointed out that this exposure was crucial for enhancing the global competitiveness of Indonesian fashion brands.
A total of 66 Indonesian designers and brands, including notable names such as Albert Yanuar, Danny Satriadi, and Tities Sapoetra, showcased their products at JF3 2024. In addition to local talent, the festival featured representatives from France, Vietnam, Singapore, and the Philippines. More than 550 industry players, including models, choreographers, artists, and other creatives, participated in the event.
JF3 2024 was organised with two distinct themes. At Summarecon Mall Kelapa Gading, from July 18-28, the festival highlighted elegant fashion and local art. Concurrently, Summarecon Mall Serpong hosted a collaboration with DRP Paris, presenting DRP Jakarta with a streetwear theme from July 26 to August 4, 2024. These diverse concepts aimed to cater to a wide range of fashion enthusiasts and industry stakeholders.
