GEKRAFS officially inaugurated its Singapore chapter to strengthen Indonesia’s creative economy in international markets
The National Creative Economy Movement (GEKRAFS) officially inaugurated the Overseas Executive Board (DPLN) of GEKRAFS Singapore as a strategic initiative to expand Indonesia’s creative economy globally. The ceremony was attended by key figures, including Osco Olfriady Letunggamu, Chairman of the GEKRAFS Foreign Affairs Committee, who read the official decree from the organisation’s central leadership.
Speaking on Thursday, Osco emphasised that GEKRAFS Singapore would serve as a crucial platform for Indonesian creative businesses to access international markets. He highlighted its role in attracting foreign investment and fostering global collaborations to support Indonesia’s creative economy.
Kawendra Lukistian, Chairman of GEKRAFS, led the inauguration of Mohammad Rangga Wiranatakusumah as the newly appointed head of GEKRAFS Singapore. With Singapore’s strategic economic position, the initiative is expected to enhance Indonesia’s presence in the global creative industry.
The event was attended by Yustia Rahma Priyantari, Third Secretary for Economic Affairs at the Indonesian Embassy in Singapore, while Sandiaga Uno, Chairman of the GEKRAFS Advisory Board, extended his congratulations virtually. The establishment of GEKRAFS Singapore aligns with the organisation’s vision to position Indonesia’s creative economy as a key driver of national economic growth.
