Leaders from the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) and Singapore Armed Forces convene to strengthen bilateral collaboration
The Commander of the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) attended the annual High-Level Committee (HLC) meeting alongside senior officials from the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF). This gathering marked 55 years of Indonesia-Singapore military collaboration, reflecting on the progress of their longstanding partnership.
The HLC meeting addressed various strategic issues relevant to Southeast Asia, including maritime security and counter-terrorism efforts. Discussions also focused on advancing joint training programmes, personnel exchanges, and other initiatives aimed at fostering stronger bilateral ties.
“The cooperation between Indonesia and Singapore has been a cornerstone of regional stability,” said the TNI Commander. “We are committed to deepening this relationship through joint exercises, personnel exchanges, and collaborative programmes that strengthen our shared security framework.”
The leaders expressed optimism about the future of the partnership, with plans to enhance existing initiatives and introduce new areas of cooperation. The next HLC meeting is scheduled for late 2025, aiming to further build on the successes of this year’s discussions.
