Indonesian and Singaporean ministers met to discuss strengthening digital transformation through bilateral cooperation

INDONESIAN Minister of State Apparatus Utilization and Bureaucratic Reform, Mr. Abdullah Azwar Anas, met with Singapore’s Minister of Digital Development and Information, Ms. Josephine Teo, in Singapore on Wednesday, July 10th, 2024. The meeting aimed to discuss strategies to enhance Indonesia’s digital transformation through collaboration with Singapore.

The discussions focused on several key topics, including the role of Indonesia’s Ministry of State Apparatus Empowerment and Bureaucratic Reform as the Chair of the National Electronic Government System Coordination Team. The ministers also addressed Indonesia’s national digital government strategy and Singapore’s “Smart Nation” strategy. The aim was to share insights and strategies to advance digital governance in both countries.

Minister Anas emphasised the importance of learning from Singapore’s best practices in digital governance. He expressed his hope that Indonesia could adopt some of these practices to strengthen its own digital government initiatives. The meeting highlighted the mutual benefits of sharing knowledge and experiences between the two nations.
