On Friday, December 6, 2024, Indonesia’s Minister of Investment and Downstream Industry and Head of BKPM, Rosan Roeslani, held a strategic meeting with Lim Boon Heng, Chairman of Temasek Holdings Limited, in Singapore. The discussion focused on advancing investments in Indonesia’s priority sectors, including downstream industry, renewable energy, digital transformation, and the green economy. These areas align with Indonesia’s commitment to sustainable development and its ambitious economic growth target of 8% per year as part of its Vision Indonesia Emas 2045.
During the meeting, Minister Rosan emphasized the significance of Temasek’s potential investments in supporting Indonesia’s economic aspirations. He highlighted Indonesia’s burgeoning interest in the electric vehicle (EV) industry and its plans to develop a robust EV battery ecosystem, a move pivotal to the country’s sustainable industrial transformation.
