Members of the Komunitas Cinta Berkain Indonesia (KCBI) Singapore Chapter visit the Indonesian Embassy in Singapore

The Indonesian Embassy in Singapore, through its Social and Cultural Affairs Division, warmly received members of the Komunitas Cinta Berkain Indonesia (KCBI) Singapore Chapter. The visit, which took place recently, aimed to foster stronger relations between the two organisations and highlight KCBI’s role in promoting traditional Nusantara textiles.

The delegation discussed the importance of preserving and showcasing traditional Indonesian fabrics, which are a source of pride for Indonesian women living in Singapore. The embassy expressed its support for KCBI’s efforts in introducing these textiles as a symbol of cultural heritage and national identity on the international stage.

During the visit, KCBI representatives shared their initiatives and events aimed at educating the public about the cultural significance of wearing Nusantara fabrics. The meeting underscored the shared commitment to promoting Indonesian culture and strengthening the presence of traditional attire in Singapore.
