
The visit strengthened bilateral cooperation between Indonesia and Singapore in healthcare and social protection, with a special focus on elderly well-being
The Deputy Minister for Women’s Empowerment and Child Protection (PPPA) of Indonesia paid a visit to Singapore’s Ministry of Health to explore new opportunities for collaboration in healthcare and social support. The visit, which took place in Singapore, marked another step in enhancing bilateral relations between the two countries, particularly in support of vulnerable populations.
During the meeting, both parties exchanged insights on Singapore’s innovative healthcare policies and social support mechanisms. Special attention was given to systems supporting the elderly, as both nations aim to improve the quality of life for ageing populations through shared experiences and best practices.
The Deputy Minister expressed Indonesia’s interest in learning from Singapore’s approaches, while Singapore welcomed the opportunity to strengthen institutional ties. The discussion highlighted the potential for future joint initiatives and knowledge exchange programmes between the two ministries.
