PT Astra Agro Lestari Tbk (AALI) leverages digital services to streamline fruit sales for palm oil farmers, aiming for efficiency and effectiveness.

PT Astra Agro Lestari Tbk (AALI) unveiled its initiative to revolutionise the fruit selling process to its factory, aiming to provide efficiency and convenience for palm oil farmers. The announcement was made by the company’s CEO, Bapak Santosa, during the “Talk to the CEO 2024” event held on Friday evening.

Pak Santosa highlighted that Astra Agro’s endeavour to prioritise palm oil products from farmers underscores its commitment to bolstering the businesses of palm oil farmers. This move aligns with the company’s ongoing digitalisation efforts, including the recent launch of the Partnership Information System Application (SISKA) 2.0 in January 2024.

The introduction of SISKA 2.0 aims not only to facilitate partners but also to optimize various company-provided platforms, including services for partner drivers awaiting the unloading of fresh fruit bunches (FFB) at the factory. Moreover, Astra Agro introduced the Delivery Schedule Booking feature earlier this year to minimize waiting times through an integrated queuing system, simplifying fruit delivery schedules for partners.

Santosa emphasized that the intensified partnership program, initiated in 2018, forms a crucial component of the company’s business strategies aimed at meeting palm oil mill utilities and crude palm oil (CPO) production targets. Astra Agro envisages that these digital services and programs will be instrumental in driving sustainable business growth in the future.

Furthermore, Astra Agro has rolled out collaborative initiatives to bolster partners’ palm oil businesses. These efforts include the procurement of fertilizers, oil palm sprouts, herbicides, as well as facilitating transport units, private units, and heavy equipment. Additionally, the company collaborates on infrastructure repairs to further support its partners.
