Singapore, 29 November 2025 — The Garuda Empowerment Network (GEN) Batch 1 officially concluded its activities after an intensive three-month programme. Throughout the programme, participants engaged in various mentoring sessions covering professional skills development, career management, and strategic communication. In addition, the programme connected participants with mentors who are practitioners and industry leaders from diverse sectors, providing practical insights into current global opportunities, challenges, and competency requirements.

At the closing ceremony, Indonesian Deputy Head of Mission to Singapore, Thomas Ardian Siregar, reaffirmed the Embassy’s commitment to supporting the development of Indonesian diaspora talent. He emphasised that young Indonesian professionals possess significant potential that should be systematically facilitated to enable meaningful contributions to national development.

He further highlighted that the Indonesian professional community in Singapore serves as a strategic asset for enhancing diplomacy, economic collaboration, and Indonesia’s competitiveness in the region. Programmes such as GEN are therefore crucial for building a connected and sustainable talent ecosystem.

The conclusion of GEN Batch 1 not only marked a period of reflection on participants’ learning journeys but also opened avenues for continued collaboration. The Indonesian Embassy hopes that GEN alumni will continue to develop their strategic roles on the global stage and remain active contributors within the diaspora network supporting Indonesia.
