The Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia to Singapore, Dr Hotmangaradja Pandjaitan, paid an introductory call on Singapore’s Prime Minister, Lawrence Wong, on 5 February 2026. The meeting served as an important first step in reaffirming the strong and enduring partnership between Indonesia and Singapore.

Held in a warm and cordial atmosphere, the discussion reflected the close friendship between the two neighbouring countries. Both sides exchanged views on regional and global developments, as well as the evolving dynamics shaping Indonesia–Singapore cooperation.

The meeting also underscored the importance of maintaining continuity in bilateral relations built on mutual trust, open communication, and shared interests. Prime Minister Wong and Ambassador Pandjaitan highlighted the value of long-standing collaboration across political, economic, and people-to-people domains.

Looking ahead, both leaders expressed optimism about further strengthening cooperation in areas of common priority. The introductory call reaffirmed the commitment of Indonesia and Singapore to work closely together in addressing regional challenges and advancing mutual prosperity.
