Singapore, 30 November 2025 — The Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia to Singapore, Suryo Pratomo, attended the grand finale of the Business Plan Competition for Indonesian Migrant Workers (PMI), an event that also marked the fifth anniversary of the Friendship Club Indonesia (FCI). His presence highlighted Indonesia’s strong support for initiatives that enhance the skills, resilience, and opportunities available to Indonesian workers overseas.

In his remarks, the Ambassador expressed appreciation to FCI, the mentors, and the participants who demonstrated exceptional commitment to self-improvement. He emphasised the importance of strengthening the competencies of migrant workers abroad so they can remain competitive and take advantage of emerging economic opportunities.

The competition marked the culmination of a series of learning programmes organised by FCI, including English language classes and computer training. These initiatives were designed to enhance skills, expand knowledge, and foster entrepreneurial potential among Indonesian migrant workers in Singapore. Ten PMI finalists took part in the event after completing training sessions and later presented their creative and innovative business plans before the judges.
