Singapore – Indonesian Ambassador to Singapore, Suryo Pratomo, attended the Broadway-style musical Hikayat Inai: The Crying Stone, staged by Indonesian students at the National University of Singapore (NUS). The performance, presented under the banner of Nuansa Cultural Production, drew a full house at the Ho Bee Auditorium, University Cultural Centre, and captivated the audience for nearly two hours.

The musical brought to life a classic folk tale from the Nusantara, weaving together theatre, music, and dance in a modern format that retained strong elements of Indonesian culture. The students’ creative interpretation highlighted the enduring relevance of traditional stories while presenting them in a fresh and engaging style.
