The Chairman of the National Energy Council (DEN) of Indonesia, H.E. Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan, delivered the Keynote Speech at the opening ceremony of the Singapore International Energy Week (SIEW) 2025. In his address, he underscored the importance of building an energy system that promotes sustainable economic growth while reducing carbon emissions, highlighting Indonesia’s continued commitment to cleaner and more resilient energy development.

SIEW, held annually in Singapore, serves as a global platform for energy professionals, policymakers, and industry leaders to exchange best practices and explore innovative solutions in the energy transition. The forum fosters collaboration on emerging technologies, renewable energy integration, and strategies for achieving net-zero goals across the Asia-Pacific region.

This year’s event was officially opened by Mr. Tan See Leng, Minister for Manpower and Minister-in-Charge of Energy, Science and Technology of Singapore, who reaffirmed Singapore’s dedication to driving regional and international dialogue on sustainable energy solutions.

Through his participation, H.E. Luhut reaffirmed Indonesia’s strong partnership with Singapore and its commitment to advancing cross-border energy cooperation, particularly in renewable energy, carbon capture, and the development of green infrastructure. His remarks further reflected the shared vision of both nations to achieve sustainable growth through innovation and collaboration in the energy sector.
