The 2023 Lombok International Modest Fashion Festival (LIMOFF) is set to captivate fashion enthusiasts with over 100 national and international designers showcasing their talent, while promoting tourism and cultural exchange in West Nusa Tenggara Province.

Over 100 designers, both from national and international backgrounds, are gearing up to showcase their talent at the highly anticipated 2023 Lombok International Modest Fashion Festival (LIMOFF). Scheduled to take place in Senggigi, West Lombok District, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) Province, from July 6th to 9th, this festival promises to be a grand celebration of fashion and creativity. The head of the NTB Provincial Regional National Crafts Council, Niken Saptarini Widiyawati Zulkieflimansyah, expressed her excitement during a recent coordination meeting, emphasizing the remarkable enthusiasm surrounding the event.

The festival has attracted renowned international designers from various ASEAN member countries, including Malaysia, Singapore, the Philippines, Cambodia, and Brunei Darussalam. Alongside them, talented designers from different regions across Indonesia will also participate, adding a rich diversity of styles and influences to the fashion extravaganza. The presence of these esteemed designers not only highlights the growing global interest in modest fashion but also serves as a platform for cultural exchange and collaboration.

While fashion will be the centerpiece of the event, the 2023 LIMOFF aims to go beyond the runway. Nuryanti, the Head of the Industry Office of NTB, revealed that the festival will provide an excellent opportunity to promote other sectors that make the province unique. Tourism, handicrafts, cosmetics, and halal culinary items will be showcased alongside the fashion exhibition, creating a comprehensive experience for attendees. By merging these sectors into a single event, the organizers aim to promote the tourism industry of NTB and position the province as a multifaceted destination for travelers.

In addition to attracting international designers, the 2023 LIMOFF is set to draw the attention of craft council representatives from several Indonesian regions. Yogyakarta, Jakarta, Palu, North Kalimantan, North Sumatra, Bali, and Bengkulu are among the regions that will be represented at the festival. This participation underscores the significance of the event and the recognition it has garnered from across the country. The festival provides a platform for networking, collaboration, and the exchange of ideas among designers and craft councils, fostering an environment of growth and innovation within the fashion industry.

The international fashion festival will not be limited to exhibitions and runway shows alone. It will also feature a captivating event called “Begawe Nyesek,” which aims to break the national record for the highest number of weavers in one place. This unique activity showcases the rich heritage and traditional craftsmanship of NTB Province while encouraging community participation and preserving cultural practices. By combining such interactive elements with the fashion festival, LIMOFF strives to engage and captivate attendees, offering an experience that goes beyond traditional fashion shows.

As the countdown begins for the 2023 Lombok International Modest Fashion Festival, excitement is building among fashion enthusiasts, industry professionals, and the local community. This highly anticipated event brings together a diverse array of designers from around the world, shining a spotlight on modest fashion and showcasing the unique blend of creativity and tradition. With its focus on promoting various sectors and fostering collaboration, LIMOFF not only contributes to the growth of the fashion industry but also positions NTB Province as a thriving hub of culture, tourism, and economic development.
