The Indonesian and Singaporean Air Forces held their 19th joint exercise aimed at improving bilateral relations and air defence capabilities
THE Indonesian Air Force (TNI AU) and the Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF) conducted joint exercises to strengthen bilateral relations and air defence capabilities.
In a press release on Wednesday, 10th July 2024, Commander of Air Wing 4 and Director of Training Indonesian Air Force, Colonel Pnb Asep Wahyu Wijaya, stated, “This was the 19th Manyar Indopura exercise, aimed at building and developing stronger ties between the two air forces.”
The joint exercise commenced on Monday, July 8th, 2024, at the Lobby, 2nd Floor, VIP Pandawa Building, Roesmin Nurjadin Air Base, Pekanbaru. Colonel Pnb Asep highlighted that the exercise was valuable for honing the soldiers’ ability to navigate various terrains and better understand the characteristics of their defence equipment.
The exercise, which took place from July 8th to 19th, 2024, involved various activities, including Search And Rescue (SAR) capability manoeuvre exercises and the use of H225M/Caracal helicopter weaponry. The Indonesian Air Force deployed H225 helicopters from Squadron 8, Atang Sendjaja Air Base, Bogor.
Colonel Pnb Asep expressed hope that this activity would further strengthen bilateral relations between Indonesia and Singapore and enhance the military capabilities of both countries.
