Indonesian Embassy in Singapore and PARKROYAL Collection Marina Bay Collaborate to Showcase Indonesian Cuisine

The Indonesian Embassy in Singapore partnered with PARKROYAL Collection Marina Bay to introduce the Wonderful Indonesia Buffet Experience at Peppermint, the hotel’s award-winning farm-to-table restaurant. The buffet, available from 26 February to 31 March 2025, aimed to highlight the rich culinary heritage of Indonesia.

His Excellency Suryo Pratomo, Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia to Singapore, attended the launch and emphasized the significance of the event. He stated, “The launch of Peppermint’s Wonderful Indonesia themed buffet is a celebration of the deep cultural and gastronomic ties between Indonesia and Singapore.” The event featured a selection of authentic Indonesian dishes curated by acclaimed Chef Degan Septoadji and Chef Leon Yee, offering guests a taste of bold, rich, and spicy flavors that have made Indonesian cuisine renowned worldwide.

To enhance the experience, the restaurant was decorated with traditional Indonesian elements, creating an immersive dining atmosphere. Guests dining on the first two weekends (28 February, 1 March, 7 March, and 8 March) were treated to live performances by traditional Indonesian dancers from Duta Santarina Batam, adding a vibrant cultural touch to the occasion.
This collaboration aimed to take guests on a culinary journey through Indonesia’s diverse flavors while encouraging them to explore the country’s vast culinary heritage firsthand. The event also underscored how food serves as more than just sustenance—it acts as a powerful tool for diplomacy, friendship, and cultural appreciation.
