
The Indonesian Embassy in Singapore joined an evening of cultural exchange inspired by Bali, featuring performances, art, and cuisine
The Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in Singapore took part in the MIKTA Singapore Chapter – Cultural Series: “Bali: Inspiration of Mexican & Singaporean Artists”, held on 7 May 2025 in Singapore. The event was officially opened by H.E. Suryo Pratomo, Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia to Singapore, who delivered a speech highlighting the importance of cultural diplomacy and Bali’s enduring impact on global art.

In his address, Ambassador Suryo Pratomo emphasised Bali’s role as a source of inspiration for artists across the world. He remarked that the island’s cultural heritage, artistic vitality, and spiritual depth have long transcended geographical boundaries, influencing creators from Indonesia, Mexico, Singapore, and beyond.
The cultural event gathered diplomats, artists, academics, and art enthusiasts to celebrate the intersections of Indonesian, Mexican, and Singaporean artistic interpretations of Bali. The programme included a curated exhibition, panel discussions, and traditional Balinese dance performances, encouraging cross-cultural dialogue and appreciation.
The evening concluded with a dynamic artistic showcase, symbolising the shared admiration for Bali’s beauty and cultural significance among MIKTA nations.
