Soekarno-Hatta International Airport in Tangerang, Banten, saw a surge in passenger traffic ahead of Lebaran Idul Fitri 1446 Hijriah/2025 Masehi, with Denpasar, Bali, and Singapore emerging as the most popular destinations. The airport, managed by PT Angkasa Pura Indonesia, recorded 167,327 passenger movements on H-4 Lebaran.

According to Deputy Communication and Legal Officer M. Holik Muardi, the most favoured domestic routes were Denpasar, Surabaya, and Kualanamu, while Singapore and Kuala Lumpur remained the leading international destinations. The trend mirrored last year’s travel patterns, highlighting continued demand for these key routes.

Despite the high volume of passengers, requests for extra flights during the holiday period declined compared to the previous year. A total of 735 additional flights were approved for both domestic and international routes, a decrease from the same period in 2024. The airport took measures to enhance security and operations to accommodate the increased travel demand.

The passenger distribution across Soekarno-Hatta Airport’s terminals was significant, with 42,746 passengers passing through Terminal 1, 56,512 passengers through Terminal 2, and 63,008 passengers through Terminal 3. In total, 1,113 aircraft movements were recorded on H-4, comprising 570 departures and 543 arrivals.

With travel activity expected to remain high throughout the Lebaran holiday, Soekarno-Hatta Airport continues to play a crucial role in facilitating smooth and efficient air travel across Indonesia and beyond.
