The Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in Singapore, in collaboration with Indonesia’s National Counter-Terrorism Agency (BNPT), organised a socialisation session aimed at raising awareness and strengthening community resilience among Indonesian migrant workers in Singapore. The initiative is part of broader efforts to prevent the spread of violent extremism through proactive community engagement.

The session was attended by Ambassador Suryo Pratomo, who emphasised the vital role of collaboration and the empowerment of overseas Indonesian communities in maintaining harmony and national unity. The Ambassador highlighted that fostering resilience among Indonesian citizens abroad is key to countering the influence of extremist ideologies.

The event was participatory and well-received by attendees, who welcomed the opportunity to engage in open dialogue and gain practical knowledge on how to recognise and respond to extremist narratives. BNPT representatives shared strategies and insights on maintaining ideological awareness and strengthening social cohesion among diaspora communities.

This initiative reflects the shared commitment of the Indonesian Embassy and BNPT to support the goals of Indonesia’s Vision 2045 through a safe, inclusive, and vigilant diaspora.
