On 23 April 2026, the second anniversary of the Civil-Military Cooperation in Air Traffic Management (CMAC) deployment was commemorated at the Singapore Air Traffic Control Centre in Singapore. The deployment of ten Indonesian CMAC personnel forms part of the implementation of the 2022 Flight Information Region (FIR) agreement between Indonesia and Singapore.

The Indonesian CMAC team consists of three representatives from the Ministry of Transportation, six personnel from the Indonesian Air Force Headquarters, and one representative from AirNav Indonesia. The event was attended by Hotmangaradja Pandjaitan, Ambassador of Indonesia to Singapore, along with officials from the Embassy of Indonesia in Singapore.

In his remarks, Ambassador Pandjaitan noted that over the past two years, CMAC has evolved into an important platform for strengthening cooperation in air traffic management between Indonesia and Singapore. He also expressed appreciation to the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS) and all relevant stakeholders for their support and commitment in advancing collaboration in the aviation sector.

The aviation partnership between Indonesia and Singapore reflects a pragmatic and solution-oriented approach, emphasising safety, operational efficiency and mutual respect. The presence of CMAC personnel plays a key role in improving coordination, enhancing operational efficiency and strengthening mutual understanding between the two countries at the technical level.

The ambassador also commended all CMAC members for their professionalism and dedication in supporting the safety and smooth management of air traffic in the region. Looking ahead, CMAC is expected to continue contributing to deeper aviation cooperation and stronger bilateral relations between Indonesia and Singapore.
