Indonesian Air Force Chief, Marsekal TNI M. Tonny Harjono visit to strengthen defence ties AND emphasise regional stability and security.

Indonesian Air Force Chief, Marsekal TNI M. Tonny Harjono, S.E., M.M., conducted a series of bilateral meetings with several Singaporean military officials on Wednesday 15th May 2024. The meetings aimed to enhance defence cooperation between Indonesia and Singapore.

The first meeting took place with the Chief of Defence Force (CDF) of the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF), Vice Admiral Aaron Beng. The discussions revolved around various strategic topics aimed at bolstering defence ties between the two countries.

Afterwards, the Indonesian Air Force Chief continued discussions with the Chief of Air Force (CAF) of the Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF), Brigadier General Kelvin Fan. The talks focused on enhancing cooperation and conducting joint exercises between the air forces of both countries.

The final meeting was held with Singapore’s Minister of Defence, Dr. Ng Eng Hen, emphasising the importance of defence cooperation in maintaining regional stability and security.

The series of engagements aimed to strengthen defence cooperation, particularly in the Air Force domain between Indonesia and Singapore, while fostering closer bilateral relations.
