The Indonesian Embassy in Singapore and NTUC FairPrice explore collaborative efforts to expand market access for Indonesian products.

The Economic Function of the Indonesian Embassy in Singapore, together with the Trade Attaché, received a visit from representatives of NTUC FairPrice

On November 5, 2024, representatives from NTUC FairPrice, one of Singapore’s largest retail chains, met with the Economic Function and Trade Attaché of the Indonesian Embassy in Singapore. This meeting aimed to explore opportunities for collaboration that would increase market access for Indonesian products within Singapore. With 95% of goods sold in Singapore being imported, including from Indonesia, NTUC FairPrice has expressed interest in strengthening its Indonesian product offerings as part of Singapore’s strategy for import diversification.

During the discussions, NTUC FairPrice representatives highlighted the importance of establishing stable and efficient distribution channels to ensure a consistent and sustainable supply of products. The proposed collaboration seeks to introduce high-quality Indonesian products at competitive prices while supporting the Singaporean government’s efforts to broaden its import sources. This initiative is expected to enhance consumer choice in Singapore while offering Indonesian producers increased access to an international market.
