
Talks focus on renewable energy, industrial downstreaming and digital infrastructure investment
H.E. Hotmangaradja Pandjaitan, Ambassador of Indonesia to Singapore, accompanied Indonesia’s Minister of Investment and Downstreaming and Head of the Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM), Mr. Rosan Perkasa Roeslani, during a series of high-level meetings with Singapore’s leaders on 20 April 2026.

The Indonesian delegation held discussions with Prime Minister Lawrence Wong, Deputy Prime Minister Gan Kim Yong, Minister for Manpower and Minister-in-charge of Energy and Science & Technology Tan See Leng, and Minister for Foreign Affairs Vivian Balakrishnan.

The meetings reaffirmed the strong economic partnership between Indonesia and Singapore, with discussions focusing on expanding investment opportunities in priority sectors such as renewable energy, industrial downstreaming and digital infrastructure. Both sides also highlighted the importance of creating a conducive investment ecosystem through stronger policy coordination and regulatory certainty to support sustainable and high value-added investments.
The discussions also explored opportunities to strengthen collaboration with Singapore’s strategic institutions, including Temasek Holdings, particularly in mobilising financing and advancing innovation-driven economic development.
The series of engagements underscored Indonesia’s commitment to strengthening its position as a competitive and reliable investment destination while deepening its role as a key economic partner for Singapore and the wider Association of Southeast Asian Nations.
