On Thursday, January 9, 2025, a meeting was held at the Indonesian Embassy in Singapore (KBRI) to celebrate the achievements of three recipients of the Asian Nursing Scholarship. The session was led by the Deputy Ambassador, Mr. Sulistijo Djati Ismojo, accompanied by Mr. Juviano D.S.R., Head of Protocol and Consular Affairs, and Mrs. Rima Diniah, Technical Staff for Labor Affairs. Also present were representatives from Talent Angels, Mr. Wayne Foo (General Manager) and Mrs. Judy Low (Regional Head), the Singaporean agency involved in placing Indonesian nurses in Singapore under the Asian Nursing Scholarship scheme.

Three proud recipients of the Asian Nursing Scholarship 2025, Adelia Oktavia Simanjuntak, Adeline Orlin Gunawan, and Kiran Alana Reza, with Embassy staff, celebrate their upcoming journey to Nanyang Polytechnic, Singapore

The scholarship recipients—Adelia Oktavia Simanjuntak (SMA Harapan Mandiri Yogyakarta), Adeline Orlin Gunawan (SMA Budi Utama Medan), and Kiran Alana Reza (Sekolah Indonesia Singapura)—will undertake a three-year Diploma in Nursing at Nanyang Polytechnic (NYP), Singapore. Upon graduation, they will serve a six-year scholarship bond as Registered Nurses at Sengkang Community Hospital.

During the meeting, Mr. Sulistijo expressed gratitude and pride, highlighting the importance of the scholarship in providing opportunities for Indonesian youth to excel in Singapore’s healthcare sector. He encouraged the recipients to embrace the program wholeheartedly and contribute to strengthening the reputation of Indonesian skilled workers abroad. He further conveyed hopes that 2025 and beyond will see a growing number of Indonesian nurses entering Singapore through placements and scholarship schemes.

This milestone not only underscores Indonesia’s commitment to nurturing talent but also reflects the strong partnership between Indonesia and Singapore in the healthcare sector.
