Policy exchange strengthens Indonesia-Singapore education cooperation.
The Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in Singapore hosted a working visit by the Vice Chair of Indonesia’s Regional Representative Council (DPD RI), together with the leadership and members of the Regional Legislative Affairs Committee (BULD), from 7 to 9 July 2026.
The official visit aimed to support Indonesia’s efforts to strengthen equitable access to quality education by studying Singapore’s education system and governance model. The delegation met with the Indonesian School in Singapore (SIS), Singapore’s Ministry of Education (MOE), and KinderWorld International Group/SISH Institute Singapore to exchange views on education policy, school management, and institutional best practices.
Key discussions covered education governance, curriculum implementation, teacher development, school administration, and strategies for improving learning outcomes. The meetings also explored how international collaboration and policy innovation can contribute to building a more inclusive and effective education system.
The working visit is expected to provide valuable policy insights for Indonesia’s ongoing education reforms while expanding opportunities for bilateral education cooperation between Indonesia and Singapore. It also highlighted the importance of knowledge sharing, institutional partnerships, and cross-border collaboration in addressing common education challenges.
By facilitating the programme, the Indonesian Embassy in Singapore reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening Indonesia-Singapore education cooperation through policy dialogue, professional exchange, and long-term partnerships that support educational excellence and human capital development.
