The advisor to the INDONESIAN Minister of Public Works and Housing (PUPR) underlined the potential for trillions of rupiah investments at the 10th World Water Forum that WILL Be held in Bali from 18th – 25th May 2024
MR. Firdaus Ali, advisor to the Indonesian Minister of Public Works and Housing (PUPR), emphasised that the 10th World Water Forum can open doors to investments worth trillions of rupiah for Indonesia, fostering both bilateral and multilateral cooperation.
“Commitments have been discussed, but further details will be conveyed by Minister Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan. Several projects with values reaching trillions are in talks,” stated Mr. Firdaus in Jakarta on Monday 6th May 2024.
Mr. Firdaus reaffirmed that Indonesia, as the host country, was not only to ensuring the success of the 10th World Water Forum but also to encourage outputs and outcomes that can be implemented by countries globally both at project level and real action.
The 10th World Water Forum focused on four key areas: water conservation, clean water and sanitation, food and energy security, and mitigation of natural disasters. With 244 sessions, the forum aimed to produce concrete results, prioritising Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM) for small islands, establishing centres of excellence for water and climate resilience, and designating World Lake Day.
Business meetings with strategic partners were also organised as part of the 10th World Water Forum to discuss the potential for cooperation and investment related to water infrastructure development.
The Indonesian government extended invitations to 43 ambassadors and 4 international organisations to participate and contribute to the success of the 10th World Water Forum held in Bali from 18th – 25th May 2024.
