President Prabowo Subianto visited Singapore to attend the National Day Parade, reaffirming strong bilateral ties between Indonesia and Singapore
Singapore, 9 August 2025 — President of the Republic of Indonesia, H.E. Prabowo Subianto, arrived in Singapore on Saturday, 9 August 2025, at 15:40 local time, to attend the Singapore National Day Parade 2025. His presence marked a gesture of respect for the close and long-standing relations between Indonesia and Singapore.
During this official working visit, President Prabowo participated in a series of events held at the National Gallery as part of the National Day celebrations. Other dignitaries scheduled to attend included His Royal Highness Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah of Brunei Darussalam, Malaysia’s Deputy Prime Minister Dr Ahmad Zahid bin Hamidi, and Crown Prince of Johor, Tunku Ismail Idris.
Dozens of Indonesian citizens residing in Singapore—ranging from students and professionals to schoolchildren—gathered at the President’s hotel to warmly welcome him.
The enthusiasm among Indonesians in Singapore was notably high, with many expressing their joy at the opportunity to meet the Head of State abroad. Some mentioned they had long awaited this moment and were grateful for the chance to greet him in person.
