Indonesian financial technology company PT Fliptech Lentera Inspirasi Pertiwi (Flip) has expanded its international remittance service, Flip Globe, now enabling money transfers to more than 60 countries, including Singapore.

President Director of Flip Group, Rafi Putra Arriyan, announced the expansion in an official statement on Wednesday, highlighting the company’s commitment to providing fair and accessible financial services. The initiative aims to offer fast and affordable money transfers for Indonesians sending funds abroad.

Flip Globe offers several advantages, including on-time delivery guarantees and a unique refund policy for administrative fees if transfers do not arrive on schedule. The service also features competitive and transparent transfer fees, reportedly 90% lower than conventional remittance services. Transactions can be completed seamlessly through the Flip app without the need for long queues or complex forms.

With the increasing demand for international money transfers, Flip has recorded significant growth in Flip Globe transactions. According to Statista, outbound personal remittances from Indonesia reached USD 9.8 billion in 2023. Meanwhile, Flip’s internal data shows that the number of users, transactions, and remittance volumes has tripled over the past two years.

Founded in 2015, Flip is licensed and regulated by Bank Indonesia (BI). Initially launched as a free interbank transfer service, the platform has since expanded to include bill payments, digital product purchases, and international money transfers for individuals and small businesses.
