Senior Minister of State Zaqy Mohamad met with Deputy Defence Minister Donny Taufanto in Jakarta to enhance bilateral cooperation
Deputy Minister of Defence of the Republic of Indonesia, Donny Ermawan Taufanto, received a courtesy call from Singapore’s Senior Minister of State, H.E. Zaqy Mohamad, on Wednesday, 11 June 2025. The meeting took place at the Jakarta International Expo in Kemayoran, as part of the Indo Defence 2025 Expo & Forum.
During the bilateral meeting, Deputy Minister Donny expressed his appreciation for Singapore’s active participation in the Indo Defence 2025 event. The interaction highlighted the strong and longstanding defence relationship between the two nations.
The discussion took place in a warm and friendly atmosphere, with both parties reaffirming their commitment to enhancing future defence cooperation. Deputy Minister Donny conveyed hopes to deepen collaboration in areas such as joint training, information exchange, and defence technology development.
Singapore also expressed its interest in continuing discussions on the Defence Cooperation Agreement (DCA), particularly regarding the use of training areas in Kalimantan.
The meeting was also attended by senior officials from the Indonesian Ministry of Defence, including the Director of International Defence Cooperation, the Director of Defence Technology and Industry, and the Head of the Centre for Defence Equipment and Supply.
