Students of Sekolah Indonesia Singapura proudly display their awards after participating in the Generasi Muda Bebas Korupsi seminar organized by the Indonesian Embassy in Singapore in commemoration of International Anti-Corruption Day 2024.

The Indonesian Embassy in Singapore (KBRI Singapura) marked International Anti-Corruption Day 2024 (HAKORDIA) with an event aimed at fostering anti-corruption awareness among youth. Held at the Aula Sekolah Indonesia Singapura, the program emphasized the importance of instilling integrity and ethical values from an early age.

The event was officially opened by the Indonesian Ambassador to Singapore, H.E. Suryo Pratomo, and featured a keynote session by Mrs. Mahayu D. Suryandari, the Embassy’s Prosecutor Attaché. Distinguished guests included Deputy Ambassador H.E. Djati Ismojo, Principal of Sekolah Indonesia Singapura Mrs. Yenny Dwi Maria, Defense Attaché Colonel Hendra Supriyadi, as well as embassy staff and teachers from Sekolah Indonesia Singapura.

Supported by Sekolah Indonesia Singapura and the Embassy’s Education and Culture Attaché, the program underscored nine core anti-corruption values: honesty, discipline, hard work, responsibility, independence, courage, simplicity, compassion, and justice. These values aim to build a strong foundation for future leaders and break the cycle of corruption.

“The younger generation is key to eradicating corruption. By embedding these values in their daily lives, we empower them to grow into clean and ethical individuals who contribute to a corruption-free society,” said H.E. Suryo Pratomo.

This initiative reflects the Embassy’s commitment to nurturing ethical awareness among young Indonesians in Singapore and fostering their role as ambassadors of integrity.
