Kemantren Langenpraja Praja Mangkunegaran represented Indonesia at the international parade event, Chingay Singapore, held at the F1 Pit Building Singapore on February 3-4, 2023.

The Indonesian Ambassador to Singapore, Mr. Suryo Pratomo, and KGPAA Mangkoenagoro X were among the invited visitors that saw the Chingay procession with Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong. Several other nations, including Indonesia, also participated this event.

Kemantren Langenpraja presented Langendiyan, a Javanese dance drama that incorporates dance, theatre, music, and dialogue, at this year’s Chingay Parade. Twenty performers take part in it.

Langendriyan is a style of art developed by KGPAA Mangkoenagoro IV, who reigned from 1853 to 1881. It narrates the account of the struggle between Damar Wulan and Menakjinggo, who revolted and attempted to steal Ratu Ayu Kencana Wungu’s crown and Majapahit’s throne. Damar Wulan ultimately won the battle with the assistance of Waito and Puyengan, who took Minakjinggo’s mace.
