FTUI INTRODUCES INTERNATIONAL COMPUTER ENGINEERING AND ENVIRONMENTAL ENGINEERING PROGRAMS, ENHANCING EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES FOR GLOBAL LEARNING.

The University of Indonesia’s Faculty of Engineering (FTUI) announced the launch of two new international study programs, International Computer Engineering and Environmental Engineering, on Wednesday. FTUI Dean Heri Hermansyah expressed the faculty’s commitment to elevating education standards and providing students with diverse global learning experiences through these programs.

Dean Hermansyah highlighted the importance of curriculum development, international collaborations, and technological innovation in ensuring the quality of education offered by FTUI. By introducing these programs, the faculty aims to not only enhance its reputation as a leading educational institution but also to provide its alumni with broader international recognition.

The Computer Engineering and Environmental Engineering programs, originally established in 2006, have received accreditation as “outstanding” from the Engineering Major Independent Accreditation Institute (LAM Teknik). Additionally, both programs have obtained international accreditation from the Indonesian Accreditation Board for Engineering Education (IABEE).

Computer Engineering encompasses a wide range of skills, including hardware and software development, digital electronics, network connectivity, and cybersecurity. Graduates from FTUI’s Computer Engineering program pursue careers as IoT engineers, AI developers, big data analysts, and cybersecurity specialists.

On the other hand, the Environmental Engineering program focuses on planning, designing, constructing, and managing environmental facilities and infrastructure. Cindy Rianti Priadi, head of FTUI’s Environmental Engineering program, emphasised the program’s significance in promoting sustainable development through comprehensive environmental management.

The introduction of these international study programs reflects FTUI’s dedication to fostering academic excellence and preparing students to thrive in a globalised world. By offering specialised curricula and opportunities for international collaboration, FTUI aims to equip its graduates with the skills and knowledge needed to address complex challenges in engineering and environmental sectors.
