The Indonesian National Paralympic Committee (NPC) revealed in Jakarta on 12 March 2024 that five archery athletes have secured their spots for the 2024 Paralympics in Paris, France.

According to Bapak Rima Ferdianto, vice secretary-general of the Indonesian NPC, the qualified athletes include three male and two female participants, each excelling in various categories.

Among the male athletes are Ken Swagumilang and Kholidinand Setiawan, who showcased remarkable performances at the Pilsen 2023 World Archery Para Championships in the Czech Republic.

Teodora Audi Ayudia Ferelly and Wahyu Retno Wulandari are the female archery athletes set to represent Indonesia in Paris, with Ferelly clinching gold in the women’s compound event at the Asian Continental Qualifier Tournament in Bangkok last November.

The Indonesian NPC aims to send a total of 27 athletes from 10 different sports to the Paris Paralympics, scheduled from August 28 to September 8, 2024, with a target of securing two gold medals.

To ensure proper preparation for the prestigious event, the Ministry of Youth and Sports has allocated IDR36 billion (US$2.3 million) in funding to support the Indonesian contingent’s training and participation in the Paralympics.
