The launch of the Indonesia–Singapore Defence Alumni marks a new milestone in strengthening professional ties between defence personnel from both countries. The event was held alongside the Singapore Armed Forces Day Reception 2026 in Jakarta.
The Indonesia–Singapore Defence Alumni was officially launched during the Indonesia–Singapore Defence Alumni Launch Ceremony and the Singapore Armed Forces Day Reception 2026, hosted by the Embassy of the Republic of Singapore at The Ritz-Carlton Jakarta on 14 July 2026. The event brought together defence officials and military representatives from both countries to reaffirm their longstanding commitment to bilateral defence cooperation.

Among the distinguished attendees was Commander of Adisutjipto Air Force Base (Lanud Adisutjipto), Air Commodore Toto Ginanto, S.T., M.A.P., M.Han. His participation reflected the Indonesian Air Force’s continued support for strengthening defence relations with Singapore through sustained engagement and professional exchanges.

The launch of the Indonesia–Singapore Defence Alumni represents a strategic initiative aimed at fostering stronger networks among defence personnel who have participated in bilateral education, training and professional development programmes. The platform is expected to facilitate closer professional relationships, maintain continuous communication, and encourage greater collaboration across various areas of defence cooperation.

The ceremony also coincided with the Singapore Armed Forces Day Reception 2026, during which congratulations were extended in recognition of Singapore Armed Forces Day. The occasion underscored the enduring friendship and robust defence partnership that Indonesia and Singapore have cultivated over the years through regular dialogue, joint activities and mutual trust.

Looking ahead, the newly established Indonesia–Singapore Defence Alumni is expected to further strengthen professional connections between defence communities in both countries while supporting sustainable bilateral cooperation. By enhancing institutional links and promoting continued collaboration, the initiative is anticipated to contribute to regional peace, security and stability.
