INDONESIA PROMOTES ITS DIVERSE TOURIST DESTINATIONS AT THE NATAS TRAVEL FAIR 2024 IN SINGAPORE EXPO.
Indonesia actively participated in the NATAS Travel Fair 2024 exhibition held from March 1 to March 3, 2024, at the Singapore Expo Hall 4 & 5A. Through the Wonderful Indonesia Pavilion, Indonesia showcased a variety of its top tourist destinations to visitors.
The inauguration of the Wonderful Indonesia Pavilion took place on the first day of the NATAS event, March 1, 2024. Mr. Sulistijo Djati Ismojo, the Deputy Chief of Mission of the Republic of Indonesia in Singapore, along with representatives from the Indonesian Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy, officiated the opening ceremony with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.
The Wonderful Indonesia Pavilion collaborated with 20 travel agents and operators, including the national airline Garuda Indonesia, to entice visitors with a diverse array of tour packages, accommodations, and flight tickets to Indonesia’s various tourist spots. Real transactions totalling IDR700 million were estimated to have been made at the exhibition.
Indonesia’s participation in the NATAS Travel Fair 2024 was facilitated by the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy, the Indonesian Embassy in Singapore, and the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government. The Jakarta Provincial Government also showcased the 3rd Runner Up of Abang None Jakarta 2023, Zidan Nabila Akmal and Callista Sanaa Atsillah, along with industry representatives such as Bank DKI and Oddity Coffee.
To add cultural flair to the event, Indonesia presented traditional Balinese dance performances by the Balinese dance group in Singapore, Eka Suwara Santhi, during the opening of one of Singapore’s largest international tourism exhibitions.
